ZEBULON, N.C. - Tonight's game between the Carolina Mudcats and Lynchburg Hillcats was postponed due to inclement weather at Five County Stadium in Zebulon. An official makeup date for Monday's game will be announced at a later time.

Monday's game was scheduled to be the first of three between Carolina and Lynchburg. It was also scheduled to be the fifth game of Carolina's season high 14 game home stand.

Plans for Tuesday's doubleheader between the Mudcats and Hillcats will be played as scheduled, weather permitting, at Five County Stadium. The first pitch is at 5:00 p.m. and stadium gates will open at 4:00 p.m.

Game one of Tuesday's twin bill will feature right-hander Corbin Burnes (0-0, 0.82) starting for the Mudcats and lefty Thomas Pannone (0-0, 0.00) going for Lynchburg. The second game will then feature a pitching match-up of left-hander Kodi Medeiros starting for Carolina, versus right-hander Triston McKenzie pitching for the Hillcats. Both games will be shortened to seven innings each.

The Mudcats are then off Wednesday, April 19, but will continue their long home stand on April 20 with game one of four versus the Buies Creek Astros. Carolina then has another scheduled off day on April 24 before resuming the home stand on Tuesday, April 25 with game one of a three games series versus the Down East Wood Ducks.

Tickets to all Mudcats games are available by calling (919) 269-CATS (2287), by visiting and by visiting the Five County Stadium box office.

The Carolina Mudcats are the proud new Carolina League, Class-A Advanced affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers. First established in 1991, the two-time Southern League Champion Mudcats are in their 27th consecutive season of baseball at Five County Stadium in Zebulon, N.C.
