TRENTON, NJ - The New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Blue Jays) were swept by the Trenton Thunder (Yankees) in a doubleheader Saturday night at ARM & HAMMER Park, losing both games on walk-off walks to see their Eastern Division lead dwindle to 1.5 games. The silver lining: with a loss tonight by Reading, New Hampshire's postseason magic number has been reduced to eight.

GAME 1
After a scoreless four innings, the Fisher Cats got a solo home run from Jon Berti to make it 1-0 in the fifth. The lead didn't last long; former 'Cat Jorge Saez launched a two-run dinger to left field in the bottom of the inning to put the Thunder up 2-1.
New Hampshire tied it in the top of the seventh after Berti singled with two outs and Connor Panas doubled him home.
In extras, the teams traded single runs in the eighth and the 'Cats got one in the ninth, but after a Saez single brought home the placed runner to tie it in the home half, Trenton loaded the bases for Bruce Caldwell, who was issued a four-pitch walk to score the winning run in a 5-4 Thunder triumph.
GAME 2
The second game ended just like the first. With the game tied 2-2 in the bottom of the 7th, the Fisher Cats walked the lead-off batter, hit the next guy, saw both runners advance on a sac bunt then intentionally walked the following batter to load the bases with one out. Wendell Rijo didn't have to do anything other than watch four wide ones pass to bring home the final run of the night as the 'Cats lost 3-2.
New Hampshire scored both of their runs in the first, one of which scored on a Panas RBI single.
One of Trenton's two hits was a game-tying two run blast in the bottom of the third courtesy of Caldwell.
Notable: Bo Bichette hit two doubles in the game tonight, making him the single-season record for two-baggers in a season by a Fisher Cat. He has 38, passing Mike McDade's 37 doubles in 2011 for the top spot.
The series concludes tomorrow evening at 5:00 p.m. RHP Jordan Romano will try and salvage the slate for New Hampshire while Trenton sends LHP Ryan Bollinger to the mound. Coverage begins at 4:45 p.m. with the Fisher Cats Pregame Show on the WGIR Fisher Cats Radio Network.
