Aces' Pollock goes 4-for-4; Den Dekker powers Bisons' romp

Cardinals No. 8 prospect Matt Adams homered for the second straight game and drove in three runs to lead Memphis to a 11-4 victory at Albuquerque. St. Louis' No. 9 prospect John Gast gave up a run on seven hits over seven innings to win his fourth straight start. Josh Fields and Brian Cavazos-Galvez drove in two runs apiece for the Isotopes.

D-backs No. 6 prospect A.J. Pollock went 4-for-4 with a pair of doubles, two RBIs and a run scored as Reno shut down Tucson, 4-1, in the completion of a suspended game. Mike Jacobs also drove in two runs for the Aces, while Matt Clark delivered an RBI double for the Padres.

Joe Martinez gave up two runs on six hits over five innings to win his third straight start as Reno completed a sweep of Tucson with a 3-1 triumph. Josh Bell had two hits, including a two-run double, for the Aces, while Sawyer Carroll went 2-for-3 and drove in the Padres' lone run.

Fernando Martinez homered in the top of the 10th inning to give Oklahoma City a 7-6 victory over Omaha. Brett Wallace went 3-for-5 with a three-run homer and fell a triple shy of the cycle for the RedHawks, while Clint Robinson smacked a three-run shot for the Storm Chasers.

Marlins No. 9 prospect Kevin Mattison doubled twice and scored a run in New Orleans' 7-2 road win over Iowa. Gaby Sanchez hit a three-run homer in support of Brad Hand, who struck out seven over six innings for his fourth straight victory. Cubs No. 10 prospect Josh Vitters and Dave Sappelt each had two hits and an RBI in a losing cause.

Luis Hernandez hit an RBI single in the 11th inning as Round Rock outlasted Nashville, 5-4. Brad Nelson homered for the third time in as many games and drove in two runs for the Express, while the Sounds got nine strikeouts over seven innings from Brian Baker.

Yan Gomes doubled in the eighth inning and scored on a wild pitch to push Las Vegas past visiting Fresno, 5-4. Sean O'Sullivan took a one-hit shutout into the eighth for the 51s, while Giants No. 9 prospect Chris Dominguez drove in two runs for the Grizzlies.

Eric Sogard hit his second homer of the game in the 13th inning, helping Sacramento outlast Tacoma, 9-8. A's No. 20 prospect Michael Taylor and No. 19 prospect Collin Cowgill also went deep for the River Cats, while Trayvon Robinson was 3-for-6 with a three-run blast for the Rainiers.

Mets No. 14 prospect Matt den Dekker went 3-for-5 with four RBIs hit one of four homers in a seven-run eighth inning that put the finishing touches on Buffalo's 17-1 rout of Toledo. Josh Satin doubled, singled, scored four runs and drove in one for the Bisons, while Jerad Head plated the Mud Hens' lone run.

Tyler Kuhn singled in Jim Gallagher in the top of the ninth inning as Charlotte edged Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, 5-4. Ray Olmedo went 5-for-5 with an RBI for the Knights, while Chris Dickerson fell a triple shy of the cycle for the Yankees.

Josh Wilson was 4-for-4, missed the cycle by a triple and drove in four runs to lead Gwinnett to an 8-5 triumph at Indianapolis. Stefan Gartrell and Felix Pie also homered for the Braves, while the Indians got a pair of RBIs from Eric Fryer.

Jesus Feliciano went 3-for-4 with four RBIs out of the ninth spot in the lineup as Durham snapped a seven-game losing streak by beating Lehigh Valley, 8-6. Matt Mangini also had three hits for the Bulls, chipping in a pair of RBIs and two runs scored. Cody Overbeck and Pete Orr both had two hits and drove in two runs for the IronPigs.

Gregorio Petit tied the game with an RBI single in the ninth inning and Jared Goedert delivered a walk-off single in the 10th as Columbus stunned Louisville, 5-4. Chad Huffman hit a three-run homer for the Clippers, while Xavier Paul went 4-for-5 for the Bats.

Nate Spears fell a homer shy of the cycle and drove in three runs in Pawtucket's 8-3 victory over visiting Syracuse. Red Sox No. 3 prospect Ryan Lavarnway connected on his eighth homer for the winners, while leadoff man Corey Brown had two hits and two RBIs for the Chiefs.

Jeff Manship struck out seven over six solid innings for his third straight win as visiting Rochester beat Norfolk, 6-2. Sean Burroughs drove in a pair of runs for the Red Wings, while Lew Ford went 3-for-4 with a solo homer for the Tides.
