Cubbie Corner Spotlight: Kayla Skaggs

Kayla Skaggs is currently a preschool teacher at Oregon-Davis Elementary. She currently is working toward her teaching license at Indiana Wesleyan University. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Her and her husband are big Cub fans and have been married for almost three years. This upcoming season will be Kayla’s third season working at Four Winds Field.

What do you currently do for the South Bend Cubs?

Most game days I am in the Cubs Den team store helping guests. Sometimes you can find me at the gate B kiosk selling cubbie gear. You could also find me walking around Four Winds Field selling various items like swords, foam fingers, and mini bats.

What do you enjoy most about being a Cubs employee?

I love baseball and everything about it. The environment at Four Winds Field is so uplifting and fun. I am always meeting new people at games. There is never a dull moment here and I love it! I have also been a Cubs fan my whole life, so working for one of their minor league teams adds to my love for them.

What do you do for work outside of being a Cubs employee?

I am a preschool teacher at Oregon-Davis Elementary.
