The Myrtle Beach Pelicans announced today that they will host a July 3rd Fireworks Celebration courtesy of WMBF News and Gator 107.9 at TicketReturn.Com Field. The evening will include a patriotic concert by the Long Bay Youth Symphony accompanied by select members of the Long Bay Symphony, and a showing of The Sandlot on the video board. Socially distant seating options include field seating, the seating bowl, and specialty zones such as luxury suites, dugouts, and more. Gates will open at 6:30 PM and the show will begin at 8PM. The evening’s complete schedule is listed below.

“July 3rd at Pelicans Ballpark has become a staple over the years,” stated Pelicans President and General Manager Ryan Moore. “While we may not be playing baseball for our annual Independence Day Celebration, but we believe we’ve found a unique and entertaining alternative that will allow fans to enjoy the evening while still allowing for appropriate social distancing.”

The symphony, which will be situated atop the Budweiser Thirst Inning Deck in left field, will play a variety of patriotic numbers including Stars & Stripes Forever by John Phillip Sousa. The final minutes of their performance will be in conjunction with the fireworks show.

Tickets for the July 3rd event are available now at myrtlebeachpelicans.com/july3. Seating options include:

  • General Admission: $20
  • On-Field 10x10 Space: $80 – 4 people per space
  • On-Field 10x20 Space: $150 – 8 people per space
  • Dugout Seating: $400 – 16 people per dugout
  • Luxury Suite: $500 – 12 people per suite
  • Bullpen Deck: $300 – 12 people
  • Tito’s Beach Party: $1,000 – 50 people

Exact seating will be determined upon arrival for on-field and general admission purchasers. Precautions will be taken by the Pelicans staff to block off on-field spaces and seating bowl seats to allow for appropriate social distancing. As a general practice, no tickets will be printed and handled on-site. Advanced tickets are only available online and attendees are strongly encouraged to buy in advance due to the limited amount of seating available. Tickets will be available on-site at the Anderson Brothers Bank Box Office the night of the event beginning at 6:00 PM; however, box office personnel will text tickets to a customer’s mobile device rather than distribute a printed ticket.

Concessions will be available throughout the event including canned beer, bottles of Duplin wine, bottled water and bottled soda, as well as a limited food menu including hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken tenders, nachos, soft pretzels, popcorn and more. This will be a cash free event. Accepted credit cards are Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.
