South Bend, Ind. – The Fort Wayne TinCaps lost Wednesday night at Four Winds Field 8-2 to the South Bend Cubs (Chicago Cubs affiliate).

TinCaps shortstop Ryan Jackson extended his on-base streak to 15 games with a walk and a double. Jackson has now reached in 36 of 38 games played with Fort Wayne (18-20, 49-54).

Third baseman Rosman Verdugo (No. 21 Padres prospect) drove in Jackson on a sac fly in the first inning and now has a 10-game on-base streak following a walk and a hit-by-pitch

Fort Wayne led 2-1 after an RBI single from Victor Duarte in the top of the fourth. South Bend (19-18, 42-61) scored seven unanswered runs to take the lead, including three runs on two hits in the fifth inning and four runs on three hits in the seventh.

South Bend catcher Ariel Armas once again went 3-for-3 with four RBI, smacking a pair of two-run doubles. He is now 6-for-6 this season with a home run and eight runs driven in.
