PITCHING MATCHUP


Tom Eshelman takes the mound for the IronPigs against Omar Bencomo. Tonight's pitching matchup is presented by Allentown Family Foot Care, which provides the latest in medical and surgical treatments of the entire foot and ankle. Learn more at affc.com.
Eshelman returns to the mound for the IronPigs, making his fourth start of the season against the Red Wings. On May 23, Eshelman went seven innings against the Red Wings, allowing four hits and just one run. Bencomo has not faced the IronPigs since 2016 and is making his return to Rochester tonight. He has made one IL start back in May going six innings against Durham.


LAST GAME


The Pigs earned their 100th all-time victory over Rochester while Pedro Beato notched his 100th career IL save as Lehigh Valley prevailed 2-1. Joey Meneses broke an IronPigs record, notching his 44th multi-hit game o the 2018 campaign. Recap 


HEAD-TO-HEAD


The IronPigs are now two wins away from matching the franchise record for 85 wins. With two-games left in the year, the Pigs would need a sweep of the Red Wings to match their franchise record for wins. 
The IronPigs still await their opponent in the opening round of the Governor's Cup Playoffs. There is a three-way tie atop of the Wild Card. Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, Indianapolis and Columbus are all separated by percentage points in the Wild Car Standings. 


NEXT WEEK AT COCA-COLA PARK


The IronPigs will return to Coca-Cola Park on Friday, September 7 for Game 3 of the IL-Divisional Round. Don't forget to wear red to support the Pigs throughout the playoffs presented by Provident Bank.
