Seuly Matias homered to lead off the fourth, his team-best 11th of the season, then Logan Porter brought home Gentry on a fielder’s choice in the fifth inning, taking back a run the Cardinals scored in the top of the fifth.

Northwest Arkansas made the game close in the ninth inning, loading the bases on three straight singles, then scoring a run on a hit batter, but could not push across any further runs, falling by three and leaving the tying run on first for the second straight game.
