PAPILLION, NE (August 16, 2018) - Omaha starting pitcher Jake Kalish tossed seven solid innings, allowing just three runs, while four different Storm Chasers batters knocked in a run in the Storm Chasers' 4-3 triumph over the Oklahoma City Dodgers on Thursday night at Werner Park.

After Oklahoma City put a quick run on the board in the first, the Storm Chasers answered with three of their own. CF Billy Burns drove in the first Omaha run of the night with a sacrifice fly to right. 1B Frank Schwindel and C Cam Gallagher later followed with run-scoring knocks of their own to give the Storm Chasers a 3-1 lead. LF Paulo Orlando later doubled in the sixth to enhance the Omaha advantage to 4-1. Oklahoma City CF Andrew Toles and C Rocky Gale each drove in a run in the seventh to slim the margin to 4-3.
3B Humberto Arteaga (3-4, R, 2B) and Orlando (2-4, R, 2B, RBI) both recorded multi-hit games for the Storm Chasers, 3B Will Smith (2-4, R, 2B) was the lone Dodgers batter with a multiple hit effort.
Kalish (7.0 IP, 5 H, 3 R, 3 ER, BB, 6 K) followed up two spectacular pitching performances from Jonathan Dziedzic and Arnaldo Hernandez the past two nights with a stellar performance as well, retiring 15 of 17 batters at one point, to earn his sixth victory. Sam Selman (0.2 IP, 2 K), Pedro Fernandez (1.0 IP, K) and Eric Stout (0.1 IP) closed the game out for the Chasers, with Stout collecting his fourth save of the season. Oklahoma City starter Logan Bawcom (2.2 IP, 4 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 3 BB, 2 K) suffered the defeat to fall to 1-3.
The Storm Chasers will now head to Colorado Springs for a three-game set starting Friday, with first pitch in that contest scheduled for 7:40 p.m. CT. Omaha is expected to send Trevor Oaks (8-6, 2.88) to the hill, with the Sky Sox slated to give the nod to RHP Aaron Brooks (8-4, 3.66).
The Storm Chasers will return to Werner Park on Friday, August 24 to take on the Iowa Cubs to begin their final homestand of the season. First pitch of that series is scheduled for 7:05pm CT.
