RENO, NV (June 17) - The Storm Chasers couldn't overcome a huge 1st inning deficit, as Reno eased to an 8-6 victory over Omaha on Sunday afternoon at Greater Nevada Field.
Reno wasted no time in taking control in the 1st.
Jon Dziedzic (L, 3-6) was relieved after recording just 2 outs; he was charged with 7 runs, 7 hits, and 1 walk.
Omaha pulled 2 runs back in the top of the 4th.
Reno made it 8-2 in the bottom of the 4th on a walk to
Humberto Arteaga drove in another run with a sacrifice fly in the top of the 7th, bringing the score to 8-4. He knocked in Frank Schwindel, who had singled and moved to 3rd on a double by Jack Lopez.
