The Kernels tied the game in the top of the fourth. Chris Williams doubled and scored when Wander Javier reached on a fielding error to tie the game at two.

The Chiefs tied the game in the bottom of the seventh against Cedar Rapids reliever Brian Rapp. With one out, Brandon Riley singled and reached third on an errant pickoff attempt. Riley scored the tying run on a fielder's choice from Perez.
