Wegmans Red Wings Performance Center Unveils Expanded 2026-27 Offseason Programming
ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The Rochester Red Wings today announced an expanded lineup of offseason programming at the Wegmans Red Wings Performance Center, reinforcing the organization's commitment to growing baseball and softball throughout Western New York by opening its professional training environment to more players, teams, and families than ever before.

To celebrate the release of the 2026-27 offseason schedule, the Rochester Red Wings will offer two free Community Hitting Days on Sunday, October 4, and Saturday, February 13. Players of all ages will be invited to reserve a complimentary 40-minute training session to experience HitTrax game simulation, advanced player analytics, and professional-grade training equipment at no cost. Additional details, including registration information, will be announced later this summer.
Beginning this fall will be youth and adult hitting leagues, school break camps, home run derby competitions, team rentals, and new programming designed specifically for senior softball players. Together, the initiatives create an offseason destination where athletes of every age can develop their skills using the same technology and training environment trusted by MLB’s future stars.
Most importantly, the offseason schedule represents a continued emphasis placed on making elite player development more accessible to the Rochester community.

Participants will continue to train using professional-grade technology, including HitTrax, which allows players to hit in all 30 Major League ballparks, and real-time performance analytics. Driveline Baseball development equipment, bat speed and plyometric training tools, high-performance pitching machines, personalized performance reports, and live competitive leaderboards.

Registration for 2026–27 offseason programs will open in phases, providing returning participants and waitlisted members early access before it becomes available to the general public.

Youth Baseball and Softball Hitting Leagues (Returning & Expanded)
Following the inaugural Hitting League season, Youth Hitting Leagues return with expanded baseball and softball offerings that combine weekly HitTrax competition, personalized player analytics, and measurable skill development in a fun, team-based environment. Additional leagues, timeframes, and offerings have been added to accommodate a youth player's busy schedule.
Adult Baseball & Softball Hitting Leagues (New)
Designed for recreational, competitive, and tournament players, the Adult Hitting Leagues provide an opportunity to stay game-ready throughout the offseason through weekly competition, live statistics, and realistic game simulation powered by HitTrax technology. Individuals will form teams and go up against other teams in a head-to-head style matchup.
Legends Softball Club (New)
New this offseason, the Legends Softball Club provides senior softball players with a dedicated opportunity to stay active, continue competing, and enjoy the camaraderie of the game. With morning sessions, coffee before play, and a structured team season, the program offers a fun and welcoming way to stay connected to the game throughout the winter months.
School Break Camps & Signature Events (New)
The expanded lineup of camps and special events provides young athletes with additional opportunities to train during school breaks while enjoying unique competitions and skill-building experiences throughout the offseason. The programs also give parents peace of mind, knowing their athletes are learning and competing in a safe, structured, supervised environment.
Team Rentals
Teams can reserve the Wegmans Red Wings Performance Center for private practices, offseason workouts, tryouts, and team training sessions. Every rental includes complimentary access to HitTrax technology, along with advanced player analytics, professional training equipment, and a state-of-the-art indoor environment designed to maximize every workout using the same tools trusted by MLB’s future stars.
Red Wings x Boys and Girls Clubs of Rochester Hitting Expo - Presented by HitTrax
The Red Wings, in conjunction with HitTrax and the Boys & Girls Club of Rochester, will once again provide local youth with opportunities to experience the Wegmans Red Wings Performance Center through baseball and softball instruction, professional-grade player development technology, and career exploration.
Participants will gain hands-on experience with HitTrax technology, player performance analytics, and other innovative tools while learning how technology, data, biomechanics, sports science, and innovation are shaping the future of baseball and creating careers throughout the sports industry.
More than simply providing access to a training facility, this long-standing partnership is designed to inspire curiosity, encourage lifelong learning, and introduce young people to the many pathways available both on and off the field through baseball, softball, and sports technology.
