CW Richmond to televise select Flying Squirrels games in 2026

RICHMOND, Va. – The Richmond Flying Squirrels and Gray Media have partnered to televise six games during the 2026 season, the team announced on Wednesday. RICHMOND, Va. – The Richmond Flying Squirrels and Gray Media have partnered to televise six games during the 2026 season, the team announced on Wednesday. The broadcasts, beginning with the team’s home opener on April 7, will air on CW Richmond.

The series of broadcasts begins with the sold-out inaugural game at CarMax Park next Tuesday as the Flying Squirrels host the division-rival Altoona Curve. The broadcast will begin at 6:30 p.m. with the Opening Night pregame ceremonies leading up to the 7:05 p.m. first pitch.

The full schedule of telecasts is listed below:

  • Tuesday, April 7 vs. Altoona Curve (Pittsburgh Pirates) – 6:30 p.m.
  • Sunday, May 24 vs. Binghamton Rumble Ponies (New York Mets) – 2 p.m.
  • Wednesday, June 10 vs. Harrisburg Senators (Washington Nationals – 7 p.m.
  • Thursday, July 23 vs. Hartford Yard Goats (Colorado Rockies) – 7 p.m.
  • Wednesday, August 5 vs. Reading Fightin Phils (Philadelphia Phillies) – 7 p.m.
  • Thursday, August 27 vs. Portland Sea Dogs (Boston Red Sox) – 7 p.m.

The Flying Squirrels, Double-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, will have the games featured on WUPV/CW Richmond, part of Gray Media, the third-largest television ownership group in the country. Trey Wilson, who has been part of the Flying Squirrels broadcast team since 2019, will handle the play-by-play. CW Richmond is available regionally at:

In addition to the telecasts, all Flying Squirrels home games can be streamed with a subscription on MLB.TV, MiLB.TV, the MLB app and the MiLB app.

The Flying Squirrels celebrate the opening of CarMax Park with the stadium’s inaugural series from April 7-12. Although the April 7 home opener is sold out, tickets are available for games from April 8-12 and the rest of the 2026 season at SquirrelsBaseball.com/Tickets and at the CarMax Park ticket office.
