Squirrels Return To The Diamond With Hispanic Heritage Night

The Flying Squirrels began a six game homestand on Friday with Hispanic Heritage Night. The Ocho De May celebration now spills over into the entire week of fireworks, Doggies at The Diamond and a special Mother's Day Brunch. Order Your Tickets Here

Friday May 8th - Ocho de Mayo & Hispanic Heritage Night. Join the "Ardillas Valadoras" (Flying Squirrels) with a free shirt giveaway to the first 1,000 fans (15 & up) presented by Metro PCS. Happy Hour drink specials run from 5:30-7:30 PM. Gates open at 5:30 PM with the Caraepalo Mariachi Band going live on the new stage!

Saturday, May 9th - Superblast Saturday Fireworks & Faith night presented by Puritan Cleaners. Click here for a special Faith Night message. Gates open at 5:30 PM. Make sure to stick around after the fireworks, as Kids Run the Bases, presented by Richmond Family Magazine and McDonald's. Cool Springs Baptist Church will provide the entertainment pregame. 

Sunday, May 10th - This Kids Club Sunday is dedicated to all the mothers out there. The first 1,500 women (21 & up) receive a free Squirrels Wine Stopper presented by Cupcake Vineyards. The Squirrels will wear and use unique Mother's Day hats and bases to be auctioned off with proceeds to benefit the Susan G. Koman foundation. A private Mother's Day Brunch is also available in the tailgate zone, click here for more details. We didn't forget the kids, however, with catch on the field pregame, presented by Nesquik and Kids Run the Bases, presented by Richmond Family Magazine and Mcdonalds after the game.

Monday, May 11th - Bark in the Park presented by VCA! Bring one or all of your puppies and dogs to the ballpark to cheer (or bark) on for the Squirrels. Dogs do not need a ticket and fans with dogs will be placed in a designated seating area. Water dishes and other treats, and even dog specific vendors are available. Awards will be given out throughout the game, to the biggest dog, smallest dog, most Squirrels spirit, and more! Monday is also a McDonald's Monday, so bring a McDonald's receipt to the box office and receive a buy-one-get-one ticket offer.  

Tuesday, May 12th - Keep your eyes out for the Diamond Cutter as former World Wrestling Champion Diamond Dallas Page makes a special guest appearance. "DDP" will throw out a first pitch and sign autographs from 6:45-8:30, on the concourse during the game. Pictures of Diamond Dallas Page will also be on sale to be available to sign for $5. Special behind the scenes meet-and-greet picnic tickets are also available, click here for more details.  

Wednesday., May 13th RVA Day at The Diamond. This 12:05 PM game concludes the homestand with support from RVA businesses. Gates open at 11:00 AM and Stonebrook Moonshine will be live on the new stage.
