Homestand Preview: June 21-26

As the halfway point of the 2022 Flying Squirrel season approaches, the Squirrels soar both on the field and in attendance. The Portland Sea Dogs, Double-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, come to town as the Squirrels attempt to clinch the first-half championship and a spot in the Eastern League playoffs this fall. The funn includes two shirt giveaways, fireworks shows, Pride Night, Captain America jersey auction and an appearance from Disney Junior’s Dino Ranch.

Salute to Hoops & Basketball “Jersey” Tank Top Giveaway presented by Virginia Lottery: Make your Tuesday night a slam dunk! The first 1,000 fans ages 18 & older will go home with an 804 basketball “jersey” Tank top.

The Fan District Community Night and Wine & K-9s presented by Hardywood: Businesses that make up The Fan District of RVA are celebrated! Enjoy $5 glasses of wine from 5:30-7:30 PM and $6 wine slushies. (Available at the wine cart located in the Funnville Fan Zone on the main concourse) Plus, dogs are admitted free in Funnville every Wednesday home game! Please request a dog-friendly seating section if accompanied by a pet. Pet friendly sections include 101-103, sections 201-203 & first base general admission.

Surfs Up Funnville, Hawaiian Shirt Giveaway, and Friday Happy Hour presented by Performance Foodservice: Grab your trunks, puka shells and board- surfs up in Funnville! The first 1,000 fans ages 15 & older will go home with a Flying Squirrels Hawaiian shirt while supplies last. Enjoy happy hour drink specials from 5:30-7:30 PM each Friday home game in Funnville. Specials include $2 12-ounce domestic beers at all concession stands, upper concourse beer carts and The Thirsty Acorn as well as $2 fountain sodas at the Pepsi Fountain (located on main concourse, first base side).

Defenders of the Diamond Night & In-Your-Face Fireworks: Calling all Marvel fans, it's Defenders of The Diamond Night! Dress as your favorite hero for a night full of SUPER funn. The Flying Squirrels will rock Captain America jerseys on-field that will be auctioned off to benefit Flying Squirrels Charities. Enjoy fireworks up close inside the fences following the game.

Sunday, June 12 vs. Portland Sea Dogs

Dino Day & Dino Ranch Apperace from Jon & Blitz: It's Veloci-time! Come meet Jon, the fast-talking, wide-eyed young cowboy, and his speedy raptor Blitz, the fastest dino on the ranch! Bold, brash, and full of swagger, Blitz and Jon are the perfect match. You don't want to miss this dino-might meet and greet opportunity at The Diamond. Dino Ranchers, Ride! Kids ages 14 & under are invited to play catch on the field before every Sunday home game. Enter through sections 107/108 from 12:45pm-1:05pm. All kids ages 14 & under are invited to Kids Run the Bases following the conclusion of the game. Line will start beside the Squirrels Nest Team Store in sections 103/104.
