Series Preview: A Week at The Diamond You Won’t Want to Miss!
The Harrisburg Senators, Double-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals, will play the Flying Squirrels at The Diamond from Tuesday, May 27 through Sunday, June 1. The current Senators roster includes four of the Nationals’ top 30 prospects, as listed by MLB.

This series features the Flying Squirrels’ 1,000th game at The Diamond. The milestone comes in the organization’s 15th season and includes four playoff berths.
This week also boasts a full lineup of FUNN, including bring-your-cat-to-the-ballpark day, Poppy the pygmy hippo specialty jerseys, a tie-dye hat giveaway, fireworks and more!

Why do dogs get to have all the FUNN?! Join the Flying Squirrels for the purrrrr-fect night of kitty love at The Diamond!
All cats attending the game must be registered in advance here. Cat friendly sections include 101-103, 202-204 and the first base General Admission sections. Cats must be contained in some form – leash, carrier, backpack, etc.
The Richmond SPCA will be holding a cat supply drive outside the front gates. They are in need of wet and dry cat food, cat toys, unscented baby wipes and blankets.
Students who completed the Go Nuts for Reading Program, presented by M&T Bank, will celebrate their accomplishment at The Diamond. The pre-game parade will take place from 5:15 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. Students who would like to participate in the parade must be in line by 5:35 p.m.
The General Admission section is expected to sell out for this game. The Flying Squirrels recommend that parents of students joining us as a part of the reading program purchase their tickets before May 27. Parents can also upgrade their child’s free ticket to the Terrace Level for $4 and to the Field Level for $8.
For our fans with peanut allergies, today is for you! No peanuts will be in the ballpark on this day. *While reasonable efforts will be made to restrict peanut products including performing additional cleaning in advance, we cannot guarantee the absence of peanut particles and residue. Fans with peanut allergies should take all precautions that they customarily take in public places with potential exposure.
It’s also the next Silver Squirrels game. Fans ages 55 and older are eligible to join the Silver Squirrels club presented by OrthoVirginia and receive member benefits, including tickets to every Tuesday home game, an exclusive T-shirt and a concession voucher. It’s time to POP off! The Flying Squirrels are honoring Richmond’s viral pygmy hippo, Poppy!
Fans can bid on game-worn Poppy the pygmy hippo jerseys here. Jersey auction sales benefit the Fauna & Flora Foundation for their conservation efforts.
Fans can take their photo with a life size Poppy cutout, located by the main stage.

Be a part of history and join the Flying Squirrels for the 1,000th game at The Diamond!
The first 1,000 fans in attendance will go home with a commemorative 1,000th game button.
Listen to the Squirrels’ own Batter Up Brass Band before the game on the main stage.
Stick around after the game for In-Your-Face Fireworks, up close and inside the fences!

Friday, May 30 vs. Harrisburg Senators: Grateful Fans Night with Tie-Dye Trucker Hat Giveaway

Rock your tie-dye and enjoy Grateful Dead-inspired FUNN all night long.
The first 1,000 fans ages 15 and older will go home with a groovy tie-dye trucker hat, inspired by the Grateful Dead.

Enjoy the best Happy Hour in RVA! Sip on $3 domestic drafts from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at all lower concession stands, upper concourse beer carts and the Budweiser Thirsty Acorn. $3 fountain sodas are available at the Pepsi stand located under the stairs attached to Papa Johns.

The Flying Squirrels celebrate women & girls' achievements in sports, both on and off the field.
Come early to hear from a panel of female athletes, leaders and coaches on the dugout. The pregame panel includes Lori Waran, President of the Richmond Raceway, Felicia Johnson, Interim Athletic Director of Virginia State University, Lauryn Hutchinson, Head Coach of VCU Women’s Soccer and Hannah Smith, Sportable Athlete and 2024 ESPY Honoree.

June 2 marks Lou Gehrig Day, increasing awareness of the ALS disease that took the life of Lou Gehrig and continues to take the lives of too many people each year. Join the Flying Squirrels at The Diamond on June 1 as we celebrate Lou Gehrig Day.
Members of the Squirrel Tails Kids Club presented by Atlantic Union Bank get in FREE! The Squirrel Tails Kids Club is free to join for children ages 14 and under and includes a General Admission ticket voucher to select Sunday home games. Click here to register your child.
Bring your glove and play catch on the field from 12:45-1:05 p.m. Fans playing catch on the field can enter the field through the field gates located at sections 103/104 and 118/119.
Kids ages 14 and younger can run the bases following the game presented by Richmond Family Magazine. Kids can line up to run the bases outside the Squirrels Nest Team Store at the end of the first-base side of the main concourse. Parents and guardians are allowed to accompany their children onto the field and meet them as they cross home plate.
