Series Preview: CarMax Park goes to the cats & dogs as Squirrels open second half at home

The Flying Squirrels officially kick off the second half of the 2026 Eastern League schedule against their division rivals, the Akron RubberDucks (Double-A affiliate of the Cleveland Guardians), in a six-game series at CarMax Park.

From cats and dogs to celebrations of the River City, soccer and the United States' semiquincentennial, the FUNN will be turned all the way up all series long!

Plus, don't miss brand new food and drink specials all week throughout the ballpark.

Promotion highlights: Take your cat "meow-out" to a ballgame! Felines are welcome in The Lawn at CarMax Park as part of Toe Bean Tuesday. Pre-registration is required via the link here. All cats in attendance must be up to date on their vaccinations and contained via a leash, backpack, carrier, etc. A portion of each ticket sold will be donated back to Richmond SPCA and Richmond Animal League. There will be plenty of toe bean-themed activities throughout the night including a yarn ball race, cat look-a-like contest and more.
