FRESNO, CA (May 15, 2018) - The Salt Lake Bees avoided a series sweep by defeating the Fresno Grizzlies 3-2, Tuesday afternoon at Chukchansi Park. With the game tied 2-2 in the final inning, David Fletcher drove in the go-ahead run on a single to give Salt Lake the lead. The Bees would hold on in the Grizzlies' final at-bats to win the last of the four-game series.

Fresno's Tony Kemp entered the game seeking to extend his Pacific Coast League-leading hit streak to 20 games, but this was snapped as the second baseman went 0-for-5 on the day. Adam Hofacket (5-0), who took the mound in the eighth inning, received the win for Salt Lake to obtain his league-leading fifth win of the season. Eduardo Paredes threw a spotless ninth to pick up his first save of the year. Osmer Morales got the start for the Bees, but did not factor into the decision with an excellent outing giving up a single run and striking out six over five and two-thirds innings.

After taking Wednesday off, the Bees will return to Salt Lake to kick off a four-game home stand against the Sacramento River Cats. Among the promotions for the home stand is the club's annual Pack the Park Pink night, where the team will don pink uniforms in support of those who have been affected by cancer.
