SALT LAKE CITY (May 20, 2018) -The Salt Lake Bees sent the visiting Sacramento River Cats packing with a 12-5 victory in the series finale at Smith's Ballpark on Sunday afternoon.

The River Cats jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the second inning, but Salt Lake immediately responded with four runs in the bottom half on a Rymer Liriano solo homer, Sherman Johnson RBI double and David Fletcher two-run homer. The round trippers continued in the third inning as Jabari Blash and Liriano went back-to-back with solo homers. Sacramento would claw back into the game with a three-run fifth, but the Bees equaled that in the bottom half and added another run in the sixth and two more in the seventh to make up the final score.
Liriano, Fletcher and Kaleb Cowart all drove in a pair of runs with Liriano collecting his second two home run game of the year and the seventh overall for the Bees. Jaime Barria got the start for the Bees lasting two and two-thirds innings while giving up two runs. Dylan Unsworth (3-0) picked up the victory with four innings of relief, striking out three and allowing three runs. Taylor Cole finished the game with two and one-third scoreless frames.
The Bees travel to Albuquerque to start a four-game series with the Isotopes. Salt Lake returns to Smith's Ballpark for five games over Memorial Weekend starting on Friday night at Smith's Ballpark. Tickets and more information is available at www.slbees.com
