Overview: The RailRiders Community Relations Intern is responsible for providing assistance to the director of community relations with all planning, coordination, and execution of community programs and events as well as assistance with organizational and administrative tasks associated with the SWB Pinstripes Foundation.

Compensation: Hourly paid position - approx. 30-40 hours per week

Start Date: February/March 2020

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

• Answer and fulfill donation, mascot appearance, and player appearance requests.
• Assist in the execution of the RailRiders school program, including program school assemblies.
• Assist in the execution of theme nights, awareness nights, mascot related events (CHAMP's Birthday) and community initiatives during RailRiders' home games.
• Assist in and planning an execution of all special events and charity walks held at PNC Field on Saturday's throughout the year.
• Schedule requests for player/mascot community appearances. May include escorting player or mascot to different events around Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
• Assist in scheduling and coordination of participants in the RailRiders' Military Appreciation Program and Community Organization of the Game program and National Anthem program, etc.
• Manage and organize materials related to in-game jersey and merchandise auctions.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned by the director of community relations or marketing department

 Qualifications:

• Must be willing to work long hours including holidays, weekends and weeknights.
• Will need to attend the majority of RailRiders home games (Especially key events such as HOPE Week and community initiative games).
• Must have good oral and written communication skills
• Must have a reliable car and valid driver's license.
• Basic computer skills, including ability in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Basic skills in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator are preferred.
• Knowledge of operating systems for the following social media outlets: Facebook, Twitter, lnstagram, YouTube, Snapchat.

Overview: The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, Triple-A Affiliate of the New York Yankees, are seeking qualified candidates for an internship within the Marketing & Sponsor Services department. Interns will assist with a variety of events, promotions, office functions, and other items.

Our ideal candidate must be a college student and should possess a willingness to learn and an enthusiastic attitude. You will need to possess a "can-do" attitude, be comfortable dealing with all types of people in a professional and mature manner and ask lots of questions. We need someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, energetic environment and is willing to work extra hours when needed. Our ideal candidate must also have strong organizational skills, be able to multi-task, have a positive work ethic and be committed to success. The candidate must be available to work office hours, nights, weekends and some holidays. Some manual labor will be involved so candidates should be able to maneuver around the building without assistance and lift at least ten pounds.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Assist with planning, enactment and follow-up of sponsor promotions
• Assist with various marketing projects including, mailings, database work, phone calls, deliveries, etc
• Work most home games and provide pre-game tours, create and deliver gift bags, assist with in-game promotions, sponsor booth nights, and other duties
• Research ideas for future promotions/programs
• Maintain promotional archives
• Assist in the design of marketing collateral
• Track sponsor multimedia on game nights
• Attend all departmental meetings
• Arrive at work at the appropriate, assigned times and stay throughout the entire shift
• Work effectively with the sponsor services staff members and other department interns
• Perform assigned work in a professional manner, in the timeframe given, and with enthusiasm that benefits the organization
• Dress appropriately in the office and during games
• Look to take on extra tasks and ask for additional projects when you have completed an assignment

Overview: Sales Interns for the SWB RailRiders will tasked with assisting the sales team in the selling and promotion of tickets and games to the people of Northeastern Pennsylvania.

Overview: The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, Triple-A Affiliate of the New York Yankees are looking for a full-time intern to work hand-in-hand with the Director of Video & Analytics. Entertaining fans in a state-of-the-art ballpark is the most important part of the fan experience. It's what makes us different from other teams throughout the country.

As a Video & Promotions Coordinator, you are responsible for working alongside the Director of Video & Analytics to engage the crowd with in between innings skits, videos, bits, gags and fun. You'll also work to plan and coordinate all theme nights and giveaways.

Reporting to the Director of Video & Analytics, you will be responsible for everything related to a game night, promoting fun and most importantly putting on an unforgettable show each night.

Compensation: College Credit/ Hourly rate during games

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

• Assist in the creation of between-inning skits & games using music, LED wall, video board and more
• Assist in the development of game scripts and rundowns for PA and production staff as well as all audio, video and other in-game activity
• Help produce, edit and deliver creative audio/ visual content for game day projects including but not limited to interviews, highlights, commercials, head shots, etc.
• Log and capture videos, help manage and maintain production equipment and workflow
• Learn how to operate & understand all game day production positions and equipment such as Production Switcher, Click Effects Crossfire, 3Play Replay System, Daktronics equipment and programs including Show Control, Content Studio and DakStats
• Work with the sponsor services department to ensure all sponsored game night elements are created and ready for game presentation
• Work to create motion graphics and designs for all video displays with Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects
• Responsible for helping to develop and execute all theme night and game night promotions- including giveaways, music, costumes, special set-up etc.
• Work within departmental budget
• Work with sponsor services department to cut video for end of season sponsor, proof of performance reports and sales proposals
• General design assistance as assigned
• Other duties as assigned by department head
• Assist with all special events as assigned

Qualifications:

• Full-time availability from March 12, 2020 - September 14, 2020
• Experience with non-linear editing systems (Final Cut Pro/Adobe Premiere).
• Experience with motion graphics programs (Adobe After Effects)
• Experience with DVD creation programs (DVD Studio, iMovie)
• Experience with graphics programs (Adobe Photoshop, In Design, Illustrator)
• Experience with professional video cameras, switcher and replay machines
• Ability to produce and create new and exciting video and graphical content
• Ability to give and receive constructive criticism on creative work
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
