Reading is FUN and FUNdamental with the RailRiders!
CHAMP’S Home Run Readers, presented by Red Robin, is a premier reading program developed exclusively for elementary and middle schools in Scranton, Wilkes-Barre and surrounding communities. We believe in the power of reading as the foundation for lifelong success, and we are strengthening our commitment to education through this signature initiative. This year's challenge will run from March 2 to March 22, 2026.
Contest Rules:
- CHAMP’S Home Run Readers will run for a three-week period between March 2 and March 22, 2026. Only at home, out-of-school reading counts. This can include school curriculum books, self-chosen books, and both digital and print materials.
- Minutes may include time a parent or guardian reads aloud to the student, encouraging family literacy.
- Each participating school must designate one program coordinator (staff member or parent volunteer).
The deadline for registering is February 13, 2026.
We believe in celebrating every reading milestone. Prizes are awarded based on the student’s highest achievement tier. Each student who participates will receive a coupon courtesy of Red Robin. Please note: Student Tickets are redeemable on June 9 or June 10, 2026, and all prizes are subject to change due to safety protocols.
