The SeaWolves picked up right where they left off in game one as they shut out the Yard Goats in the second game of the doubleheader 4-0.
The 'Wolves jumped ahead in the top of the third against Goats starter Parker French. With one out, Harold Castro singled up the middle and was tripled home by Jeff McVaney for a 1-0 lead. Mike Gerber followed with a sacrifice fly to center, scoring McVaney for a 2-0 lead.
In the sixth, Erie added to the lead thanks to a pair of Yard Goat errors. With two outs, Christin Stewart walked for the second time in the game. He moved to third on a Zach Cox single and scored on an error by the shortstop on a ball hit by Gabriel Quintana. Miguel Gonzalez followed and grounded to short. On the play, a second error allowed Cox to score making it 4-0.
Erie starter Artie Lewicki (2-1) earned the win, his first since April 14. He worked five scoreless innings allowing two hits with no walks while striking out a season-high six. After allowing back-to-back singles in the first, Lewick would go on to retire the final 14 batters he faced.
Adam Ravenelle worked a 1-2-3 sixth and Santiago Garrido closed the game working a scoreless seventh.
