Game 1 Suspended By Rain

September 10, 2013

Game 1 of the Pacific Coast League Finals was suspended by rain with the game tied at 1-1 after one and one-half innings. The weather hit just after the completion of the top of the second inning and they waited nearly 2 ½ hours before suspending the game. It will resume at 12:05 MDT with Omaha coming to bat in the bottom of the second. Game 2 will go on, as scheduled, at 6:05 MDT.

The Storm Chasers took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first on a two out RB single by Ben Broussard off of Salt Lake starter Matt Shoemaker. The Bees tied up the game in the top of the second, as Efren Navarro led off with a single to center. With one out, he advanced to second on a wild pitch and moved to third on a ground out by Scott Cousins. With two down, Rusty Ryal beat out a slow roller up the third base line to bring home Navarro with the tying run.
