Homestand Begins with Four Against Albuquerque

The Salt Lake Bees will take on the Albuquerque Isotopes to begin an eight-game homestand on Monday night. The teams have played each other eight times this season with both teams earning four victories. This will be the final trip Albuquerque will make to Salt Lake City this season. The Pacific Coast League Pacific South Division rivals will meet for one more four-game set in Albuquerque starting on May 31.

Salt Lake will start the series with Former Bees player Kole Calhoun rehabilitating with the Bees after starting the season with the Angels. Calhoun has earned seven hits, three RBIs and a homer in the last three games. 2011 World Series MVP David Freese is also rehabbing with the Bees at the start of the series. Freese played in the last two games for the Bees earning one hit, three RBIs, and one homer.

Three of the top ten Los Angeles Dodger's prospects are currently playing for Albuquerque. The number one prospect is outfielder Joc Pederson, who owns an ERA of .356 with 57 hits, 27 RBIs and 13 home runs. The number four prospect is RHP Zach Lee, posted a record of four wins and four losses striking out 35 batters and giving up 23 earned runs. The number seven prospect is infielder Alex Guerrero who is batting an average of .355 for the season with 39 hits, 25 RBIs and nine home runs. Albuquerque and former University of Utah pitcher Stephan Fife has made two appearances against the Bees this season.

This homestand will host Prevention Dimension's Kid's day on Tuesday May 20. Prevention Dimension's day will feature more than 12,000 elementary school student's Military appreciation night on Saturday May 24. Military veterans that bring their military ID will receive a free ticket and discounted tickets for their family members. May 24 will also have postgame fireworks.
