History-Making Fireworks Show set for Monday

"Thunder at the Cove" to Rock Coveleski Stadium Monday

Due to popular demand, the South Bend Silver Hawks announced today they will once again host the largest fireworks show in Cove history.

"Thunder at the Cove" will take place Monday, August 27 after the Silver Hawks' game against the Tampa Bay Ray affiliates, the Bowling Green Hot Rods at 7:05 p.m.

Two weeks ago, the Cove celebrated fans with a 14-minute fireworks display that attracted nearly record attendance. "Our fans asked for another incredible fireworks show, and we listened," said Joe Hart, President of the Silver Hawks. "There are only a few more home games left in the season, so we want to go out with a bang - literally. Our fans have helped make this season one of the best in a long time, and we want them to know how grateful we all are."

Thunder at the Cove is also "Belly Buster Night," where fans can purchase a special ticket for $12 and get all-you-can-eat hot dogs, hamburgers, peanuts and popcorn. Tickets to Thunder at the Cove can be purchased at the gate, by calling the Box Office at 574-235-9988 or purchase tickets online.
