Norwood Activated From DL, Ihrig Transferred to Eugene
21-year old Norwood returns as Cubs open series vs. Bowling Green
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - South Bend pitcher James Norwood was activated from the disabled list while pitcher Tyler Ihrig was transferred to Eugene, the team announced Thursday.
The 21-year old Norwood has appeared in four games for the Cubs this season. In six innings, the Saint Louis University product has allowed three runs while recording one save.
Norwood was a 7th round pick of the Chicago Cubs last summer.
The 23-year old Ihrig appeared in six games for South Bend this season with a record of 1-1 and a 2.16 earned run average.
South Bend visits the Bowling Green Hot Rods tonight at 7:35 p.m. ET in game one of a three-game set.
