Spokane Hangs On Late in 6-4 Win Over Tri-City

The Spokane Indians took a 6-0 lead into the ninth inning and then held off a furious rally from Tri-City as they topped the visiting Dust Devils, 6-4, in front of a sellout crowd of 6,820 fans at Avista Stadium for Family Feast Night presented by Yoke's Fresh Market, KAYU

TOP PERFORMERS

Eddy Diaz had an electric night at the plate with an inside-the-park home run in the fifth inning while also adding a triple and scoring twice.

Zac Veen finished 2-for-4 for the second consecutive night and added two stolen bases to raise his league-leading total to 35.

Right-hander Will Ethridge delivered one of his best outings of the season, allowing just three hits over six scoreless innings to pick up his fourth win of the season.

Julio Carreras extended his hitting streak to nine games with his 25th double of the season.

AROUND THE NORTHWEST LEAGUE

Casey Schmitt homered and drove in four as the Emeralds (45-31) topped the Hops (36-41) by a final of 5-4.

Everett (39-39) got a pair of home runs from both Kyle Lewis and Noelvi Marte in their 10-5 win over Vancouver.

Avista Stadium is home to the MultiCare Kids Bench Seat. Parking at all Spokane Indians games is FREE. The Spokane Indians office and team store hours are 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM on Monday through Thursday and 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM on Fridays. On game days, the office and team store are open from 10:00 AM through the end of the game.
