Spokane, Wash. - Minor League Baseball™ (MiLB™) announced today the league awards and All-Star teams for the three leagues that make up the High Class-A classification, with Spokane Indians outfielder Jordan Beck taking home the Northwest League's MVP award. Votes were cast by league managers, and final decisions were determined by the Commissioner’s Office.

Beck, a.k.a. Mike Honcho, was a first-round pick (No. 38 overall) of the Colorado Rockies in the 2022 MLB draft out of the University of Tennessee. In 76 games with Spokane, he hit .292/.378/.566 with 20 home runs, 19 doubles, one triple, 72 RBI, 11 stolen bases, and a .944 OPS. Despite being promoted to Double-A Hartford on July 3, Beck still finished second in the NWL in homers, third in RBI, and led the circuit in slugging. The 22-year-old twice earned NWL Player of the Week (5/7 and 5/21) and was named NWL Player of the Month in June after slashing .316/.431/.537 with more walks (20) than strikeouts (18).

The Hazel Green, Alabama native is the fourth Spokane Indians player in the last five seasons to take home MVP honors, joining Zac Veen in 2022, Blaine Crim in 2019, and Curtis Terry in 2018 (the 2020 MiLB season was cancelled due to Covid-19).

Also joining Beck on the Northwest League All-Star team are shortstop Adael Amador, outfielder Yanquiel Fernandez, starting pitcher Carson Palmquist, and utility player Sterlin Thompson. A full list of High-A all-stars and award winners is available at MiLB.com.
