Peter Solomon Named Pacific Coast League July Pitcher of the Month

(SUGAR LAND, Texas) – Minor League Baseball announced Friday that Sugar Land Space Cowboys right-hander Peter Solomon was named the Pacific Coast League July Pitcher of the Month.
Solomon went 3-0 with a 2.30 ERA (7 ER/27.1 IP) and 1.06 WHIP through five July starts. Solomon ranked first in the PCL in ERA, tied for first in wins, second in opponent’s batting average (.194), fourth in WHIP and tied for sixth in strikeouts (24) last month.
The 25-year-old is the first Space Cowboys player of the year to receive PCL Player of the Month honors. He is coming off being named the Triple A West Pitcher of the Year in 2021.
Solomon, who is scheduled to appear in the Space Cowboys’ game Friday vs the. Round Rock Express at Constellation Field is ranked as the Houston Astros’ No. 6 prospect by MLB.com.
