Sugar Land Space Cowboys right-hander Roddery Muñoz has been named a Pacific Coast League All-Star for the 2026 season as announced by Minor League Baseball.

Muñoz was one of two relievers selected to the Pacific Coast League All-Star team after going 4-5 with a 3.06 ERA in 53 outings with the Space Cowboys, firing 53.0 innings with 76 strikeouts and a .192 batting average against. Muñoz went 12-for-14 in save chances, finishing the 2026 season tied with RHP TJ Shook (Isotopes) for the most saves in the Pacific Coast League.

In addition to tying for the league lead in saves, Muñoz’ 53 appearances were the fourth-most in the Pacific Coast League among pitchers in 2026. His 3.06 ERA was the second lowest in the Pacific Coast League for any pitchers that threw at least 50.0 innings, while Muñoz had the highest K/9 rate (12.91) in that category, the highest swinging strike percentage (15.7%) and third lowest average against, behind only RHP Michel Otañez of Round Rock (.174) and fellow Space Cowboys’ righty Logan VanWey (.189).

After registering his second blown save of the season on May 10, Muñoz converted each of his final 11 save chances, including going 4-for-4 in save chances in July before going 5-for-5 in save chances in August while allowing just one run over 8.1 innings of work. The 26-year-old also had two different 10-outing streaks in which he did not allow an earned run, first from June 12 to July 17 and then again from August 20 to September 13, making him the lone pitcher in the Pacific Coast League in 2026 to have two different streaks of 10 or more games without allowing an earned run. Additionally, his 53 outings ranked tied for sixth in all of Minor League Baseball in appearances, and his 12 saves were tied for ninth among all pitchers in MiLB.

This is Muñoz’ first All-Star honor of his career. Originally signed as a minor league free agent by the Atlanta Braves in June of 2018 out of the Dominican Republic, Muñoz was selected by the Astros in the Rule 5 Draft in December of 2025. He is the 16th player to be named a Pacific Coast League All-Star since the Space Cowboys became the Astros’ Triple-A affiliate in 2021, and it is the fifth time in six seasons Sugar Land has had a reliever selected to the PCL All-Star team, joining RHP Ronel Blanco (2021), RHP Enoli Paredes (2022), RHP Wander Suero (2024) and RHP Nick Hernandez (2025).
