ASHEVILLE--The Asheville Tourists starting pitcher on Thursday night, Riley Pint, lowered his season ERA to 1.90 with a solid start against the West Virginia Power. Pint however was tagged with a loss after he departed with the Tourists behind 1-0. Asheville never drew even and fell by a final score 2-1.
The run Pint allowed was an unearned run in the top of the second inning. West Virginia's Clark Eagan reached on a two-out infield single and took second on an errant throw. Kevin Mahala then worked a long at-bat before doubling off the right field wall.

The Power made it 2-0 with a run in the top of the sixth. Carlos Munoz tripled to right and was at third base with no outs. Ty Culbreth retired the next two Power hitters but Eagan struck again. The outfielder singled home Munoz for the eventual game-winning run.
