Jordan Kipper named Post-Season All-Star

Kipper is 12-6 with a 3.18 ERA in 24 starts for the Travs this season. The 23-year-old is scheduled to pitch on Friday night at Dickey-Stephens Park.

Little Rock, AR - The Texas League announced, Wednesday, that Arkansas Travelers RHP Jordan Kipper was named a 2016 Post-Season All-Star.

The 23-year-old Kipper is currently second in the Texas League with 12 wins and third with an ERA of 3.18.

The 6-foot-4, 200-pound Kipper is 12-6 on the season in 24 starts. Over 147.1 innings, Kipper has allowed 58 runs (52 earned) on 135 hits with 38 walks and 82 strikeouts. Kipper leads the Texas League with 22 ground ball double plays induced.

Kipper has allowed one or fewer runs in six of his last seven starts for Arkansas.

On May 17, the Phoenix, AZ native pitched a complete game, nine-inning no-hitter at Northwest Arkansas. Kipper struck out eight Naturals in the performance and retired each of the last 26 batters in a row while facing the minimum.

Kipper, who is expected to start on Friday night at Dickey-Stephens Park, was selected in the ninth round of the 2014 draft by the Angels out of TCU.
