Joseph L. Bruno Stadium Fan Guide A-Z

Alcohol Management Policy

New York State Law requires that consumers must be at least 21 years of age to purchase or consume alcoholic beverages. Upon request, each customer must present valid ID at the time of purchase. We reserve the right to refuse any sale. There is a two beer maximum per ID.

Animals

Fans are not permitted to bring animals into "The Joe", with exception of guide or service dogs for disabled fans.

ATM

There is an automated teller machine located in SouthPaw's Den (ValleyCats team store).

Autographs

ValleyCats players and coaches are usually available before and after the games. We ask all fans to return to their seats 15 minutes prior to the start of the game. Players are not permitted to sign autographs during the game. After each home game, two players will sign autographs at the autograph booth near the front gates.

Baseball Buddies

The ValleyCats invite your youth baseball, softball, and little league teams - in uniform - onto the field at "The Joe" to stand side-by-side with the pros for the National Anthem. With a minimum of a 25 person group, there is no additional charge to participate in the Baseball Buddies program.

Batting Practice

Often, batting practice will end before the gates open. Exceptions include special occasions, and for season ticket holders, kids club members, etc., who will be invited to enter early.

Buddy's Grill

Located down the first base line by the Picnic Pavilion, the char-pit features Lupo's Chicken Spiedies, angus burgers, salt potatoes, and pulled pork sandwhiches!

Camera & Video Equipment

Small film or digital still cameras are permitted inside stadium. Fans taking pictures will not be permitted to interfere with other fans' enjoyment of the game.

Credit Cards

MasterCard, Visa, American Express, and Discover are accepted at the Ticket Office, SouthPaw's Den, and at each concession stand/kiosk.

Elevators

There is one elevator located behind home plate, taking people from the field level to the suite level. This is only to be used by those who will be watching the game from one of our suites or Diamond Club.

Family Restrooms

Family restrooms are available behind section 180.

Fan Behavior

ValleyCats management reserves the right to revoke the tickets and refund the money of any person using obscene or abusive language, exhibiting inappropriate behavior, or appearing intoxicated. Fans that enter the playing field are subject to ejection and possible arrest.

Fan Service Center

The ValleyCats Fan Service Center is located on the concourse directly behind home plate. At the Fan Service Center, fans can sign up for contests and games, claim prizes, ask questions, give comments, etc.

Field Access

Only authorized personnel are allowed on the field. All violators are subject to immediate ejection and arrest.

First Aid

Emergency Medical Technicians are stationed throughout the ballpark. Please report any incident to ushers, security, front office staff or at the Fan Service Center on the concourse behind home plate.

Food & Concessions

Fans are not allowed to bring any coolers, containers, outside food, or beverages into Joseph L. Bruno Stadium, with the exception of one bottle of water. Dining options at The Joe include freshly grilled hot dogs, hamburgers, Lupo's famous Chicken Spiedies, wood fired pizza, italian sausage, etc. Soft serve ice cream is served down the right field line. Pretzels, hard ice cream, and kettlecorn are served down the left field line.

Foul Balls

Fans are asked to please be aware at all times, as foul balls may make their way into the stands. Fans are welcome to keep any foul ball hit into the seats, and at no time should a foul ball or home run be thrown back on the field. Violators are subject to ejection and possible arrest. Any guest interfering with a ball in play will be subject to ejection from the ballpark.

Fun Zone

The Fun Zone is located down the left field side of the concourse. This area has the Speed Pitch and Bouncy Bounce inflatable along with other games to keep you busy, while having the opportunity to win great prizes!

Game Times

The ValleyCats regular game times are; Monday-Saturday at 7pm, and Sunday at 5pm. These times are all subject to change. Please refer to the ValleyCats official website and schedule for any changes.

Handicapped Access

Joseph L. Bruno Stadium is completely wheelchair accessible. Fans must contact the ticket office directly to purchase ADA Seating. Handicapped parking is available at Joseph L. Bruno Stadium; spaces are nearest the front gate in the right field and left field parking lots.

Information Boards

The info boards are located behind home plate on the first and third base sides of the concourse. On the first base side has home and away teams starting lineups and on the third base side is the current league standings.

Kids Club

Fans may sign up for the 'Cats Crew Kids Club either in SouthPaw's Den behind home plate or on www.tcvalleycats.com. Any child 12 years old or younger are eligible. Registration is $20; a full list of benefits can be found online or in SouthPaw's Den. Free activities may be downloaded by all fans at www.tcvalleycats.com.

Lost and Found

Any items may be turned in or claimed at the Fan Service Center, located behind home plate. Items not claimed within 7 days will be donated to charity.

Mascots

SouthPaw, Pappy, Rowdy, and all the cast of characters are what make the experience at "The Joe" unforgettable. They can be seen throughout the ballpark.

National Anthem

Auditions are held prior to the season at Crossgates Mall. Performers will be contacted before the season to schedule a game. If you're interested in performing at "The Joe," contact Michelle Skinner at [email protected].

Office Hours

During the offseason, the ValleyCats Administrative Office is open Monday through Friday from 9:00am-5:00pm. During the season, on gamedays the office is open from 10:00am until the end of the 8th inning. On non-gamedays the office hours are Monday - Friday 10:00am-6:00pm, and Saturday 10:00am-2:00pm.

Paging

Paging over the PA system or scoreboard will be done at the discretion of the ValleyCats staff for emergencies only. Fans in need of this service should report to the Fan Service Center, located behind home plate.

Parking

All parking at "The Joe" is FREE to all of our fans. Parking lots are located on both the first and third base sides of the stadium. There are additional lots on the Hudson Valley Community College campus and across Route 4 at the South Road stop light. Click here for a parking map.

Picnic Pavilion

Located down the right field line, the picnic area is available for pre-game parties for groups of 20 or more who purchase tickets through our group sales department. When the picnic has concluded, all fans are welcome to enter the pavilion. Call 518-629-CATS (2287) to inquire about booking a group outing.

Radio

The ValleyCats broadcast each of their 48 home games online at tcvalleycats.com. The ValleyCats do not broadcast on FM or AM.

Rain Outs & Rain Checks

The team posts delay and rainout information on www.tcvalleycats.com and via Facebook and Twitter. In the event that 5 innings of one game are not completed, unless the ValleyCats are in the lead at the end of 4 1/2 innings, tickets may be exchanged at "The Joe" box office for a ticket of equal or lesser value, subject to prior sales.

Restrooms

Men's and women's restrooms are located on the right field and left field concourse near the main concession stands. All restrooms feature baby changing stations and are wheelchair accessible. (See also Family Restrooms.)

Rugrats

Children under 3 years old, who do not occupy a seat, are admitted in to the ballpark for free.

Scoreboard Messages

The ValleyCats are happy to recognize birthdays, anniversaries, and group outings on the message board. Announcements much be received 24 hours in advance, and the ValleyCats reserve the right to screen all messages. E-mail [email protected] with your requests.

Schedules

Pocket schedules are available at the stadium, and various locations around the Capital Region.

Smoking Restrictions

Under New York State Law, smoking is strictly prohibited in and around Joseph L. Bruno Stadium.

SouthPaw's Den

Located on the third base side of the main entrance, SouthPaw's Den is the source for all ValleyCats souvenirs. The shop opens 1 hour prior to first pitch and remains open throughout the game, until the last fan leaves.

Security Procedures

All fans are subject to random inspection upon entering "The Joe" including all bags, backpacks, purses, etc. For the comfort of our fans, the ValleyCats management reserves the right to not allow hazardous or disruptive items into the stadium.

Strollers

"The Joe" welcomes fans that bring and use their own strollers, however the use of these should not inhibit general fan movement, or block any aisles.

Suite Level

Fans with suite level tickets may access their seats via the elevator, located on the first base side behind home plate, as well as the stairwells located behind sections 150 and 160.

Tiki Hut

Located behind section 230 the Tiki Hut is open to the public. The area features peanuts and ice cold beverages!

Top of the Hill Bar & Grill

Located beyond the left field wall, the Top of the Hill Grill is available for pre and in-game parties for groups of up to 150 who purchase tickets through our group sales department. This unique open air venue offers the best view in the entire stadium and features a granite topped bar.

Tours

Tours of "The Joe" are available June thru September. Tours must be set up in advance through the front office.

Water Fountains

Water fountains are located throughout the ballpark, directly behind home plate, and behind Sections 170 & 180.
