Many former ValleyCats are making a name for themselves in Major League Baseball, but two in particular have been written into the postseason history books.
The most recent being 2010 'Cat Kikè Hernandez, who became just the 10th player in Major League history to hit three home runs in a postseason game, and this one to help send the Los Angeles Dodgers to their first World Series since 1988.

Hernandez went 3-for-4 with 7 RBI in Game 5 of the National League Championship Series, to tie a postseason record for RBI. He was the first ever to drive in that many runs in an LCS game
Earlier this postseason, another former 'Cat, Jose Altuve ('09), hit three home runs for the Houston Astros in the American League Division Series vs. the Boston Red Sox.

Altuve and Hernandez join exclusive company who have accomplished the feat, including Pablo Sandoval ('12), Albert Pujols ('11), Adrian Beltre ('11), Adam Kennedy ('02), George Brett ('78), Reggie Jackson ('77), Bob Robertson ('71), and Babe Ruth ('26 & '28).
For good measure, 2009 'Cat J.D. Martinez crushed four home runs in a game for the Arizona Diamondbacks during the 2017 regular season. He tied the all-time single-game record, held by 18 players in Major League history.
