Rainout Policy

Fans with paid tickets for a game that has been postponed, suspended or cancelled due to weather or unplayable field conditions will receive an undated voucher for each ticket that can be redeemed for another ticket of equal or lesser value, to another game during the 2023 season based upon availability. Vouchers can be redeem by visiting the Nat Bailey Stadium box office, by phoning the box office at 604-872-5232, or through your My C’s Tickets Account.

Fans that wish to, may also present their physical hard copy ticket, or show their digital ticket on their phone, at the Nat Bailey Stadium box office to receive their complementary rainout tickets.

A change for 2023: only attending patrons will receive undated vouchers for tickets from postponed games in the 2023 season. If you have purchased tickets and forwarded, donated, sold, or in anyway given your tickets to another fan/organization, you will not be eligible to receive vouchers for your tickets to a postponed game. This policy encompasses all ticket holders, including our full and half season ticket holders and Nat Pack holders.

Fans with paid parking passes can keep the parking ticket they receive from parking attendants and use that ticket at any future game in the 2023 season_._

2023 Games that have been rained out:

  • April 7, 2023
  • April 8, 2023
  • April 9, 2023
  • April 16, 2023

When can you exchange your tickets?

In the event of a rainout in a game that has not lasted four and a half innings, tickets may be exchanged at the box office window in person for a ticket of equal or lesser value to any regular season home game, subject to availability. If you purchased your tickets over the phone and they are still at Will Call, the Nat Bailey Stadium Box Office will hold your tickets and you may exchange them at a later date.

If a rainout is declared after four and a half innings of baseball have been played, a game is considered "official." In this case, there will be no ticket exchanges.

Rainy Day Terminology

Rain Delay

A rain delay is when the game is officially delayed. Play will continue later that day. Tickets cannot be exchanged in the event of a rain delay.

Suspended/Rain-Shortened

A game may be suspended at any point due to weather and resumed from the point of the suspension. If the game is official (four and a half innings or longer), the umpires halt play and whichever team has the lead is deemed the winner. A rain-shortened game does not need to be completed to the full nine innings.

Postponed

A postponed game will not be played due to rain or inclement weather. When this happens, the game is usually rescheduled as part of a doubleheader the next time the two teams meet. In the event of a postponed game, tickets can be exchanged at the box office for the same price of admission to any regular season game played at Nat Bailey Stadium during that current season (based on availability).

Cancelled

Any game that is deemed "cancelled" will not be made up during the remainder of the season. Typically, a game is considered cancelled when the schedule does not permit the competing teams an opportunity to play another game against one another. In the event of a cancellation, tickets can be exchanged at the box office for the same price of admission to any regular season game played at Nat Bailey Stadium during that current season (based on availability).

Rainout FAQ’s

Q: Who receives rainout vouchers?

Attending patrons will receive undated vouchers for tickets from postponed games in the 2023 season.

Q: Who is the attending patron?

The attending patron is the guest that is using the ticket to attend the game. Fans that have forwarded, sold, donated, or in any manner given away their ticket to another fan are no longer the attending patron and therefore have forfeited their right to the rainout voucher.
