Concert
Enjoy a live concert from centerfield! Starting at 2:00 PM, the Juice Box Heroes will open up, followed by performances by JD Shelbourne and The Crashers. Field Passes will be available for purchase.

When is the 2024 Thunder Over Louisville event?
Saturday, April 20th. The gates will open at 1pm and fans with tickets are invited to stay at Louisville Slugger Field for all the Thunder Over Louisville activities.
How much are individual Thunder at Slugger tickets?
Tickets for Thunder at Slugger will start at $30! Field access passes are available to purchase as an add on while checking out ($10 in advance, $15 day of). Field access passes are very limited and available while supplies last.
Can I leave the stadium and come back?
Yes! Your Thunder at Slugger tickets allow you to come and go from Louisville Slugger Field throughout the day and enjoy all the Waterfront activities. You will receive a wristband that allows you to leave and re-enter from 1:00pm - 9:30pm.
Are food and drink allowed to be brought into the stadium?
The only food and drink allowed into the stadium is one clear plastic bottle of water per person. Baby food and medical supplies are permitted, just inform your gate attendant while in security lines. There are many food options in the stadium, or you can exit and re-enter for additional options on the Waterfront or at any local restaurants.
When does the concert start?
The concert will begin at 2:00 PM. The concert stage will be set up in centerfield. Fans that have an admission ticket for Thunder at Slugger may also purchase a Field Access Pass ($10 in advance, $15 day of). This pass allows fans to sit on the outfield grass and enjoy the concert, air show and fireworks. Blankets are allowed on the field. Chairs are not allowed on the field or in the stadium. Field access may not be available in the case of inclement weather. In the case of inclement weather, the fee paid for the Field Access Pass will be refunded.
Are backpacks or duffel bags allowed?
Backpacks and small duffel bags are allowed, subject to search upon entry. Blankets, jackets, outerwear, etc. are permitted to be brought into the stadium in backpacks and small duffel bags. To speed up your security check process, we urge fans not to bring in bags of any sort and walk through our no bag security lines.
Are strollers or wagons allowed?
Strollers are allowed as long as they are left at the top of the seating bowl so as not to block stairways and exits. Wagons are not allowed.
Are chairs or coolers allowed?
Chairs that have seatbacks are not to be brought into Louisville Slugger Field. However, seat cushions and blankets are allowed for use. Coolers are prohibited.
Where are the best seats for viewing the fireworks?
The fireworks can be seen best from the first base side of the stadium or from the outfield grass by purchasing a Field Access Pass in addition to your game ticket.
Where is the best parking?
The Louisville Slugger Field parking lot is sold out! Passes are available in the UofL garage at 220 S Preston St. Please contact [email protected] or call (502) 212-2287 to purchase. These passes are available for fans with game tickets only. The garage will be selling passes day of (April 20, 2024) based on availability." Fans arriving early may find street parking or access public parking lots in the surrounding area. Additional Parking Information
Witherspoon Street and Jackson Street will be closed for the Thunder at Slugger event. You may enter the season ticket member parking lot on the east side of the stadium from Main Street ONLY.
The following are prohibited in the Louisville Slugger Field parking lot:
- Motor Homes, RV’s and trailers that take up more than one parking space
- Tailgating outside of the immediate area of your parking space
- Gas-powered generators and gas grills
- Double parking and holding parking spaces
- Glass bottles
- Fireworks (there are plenty to watch overhead)
The Humana Parking Garage is not available for Season Ticket Member parking on the day of the event. Please refer to The Courier Journal for a complete list of street closures and traffic flow diagrams prior to Thunder Over Louisville.
Public Restrooms
Restrooms accessible from the outside of Louisville Slugger Field will open at 12:00 PM and will close 1 hour after gates open. At that time, only individuals with a ticket for Thunder at Slugger will have access to restrooms at Louisville Slugger Field.

- Slugger Field Lot - The Slugger Field lot will open to Bats Season Ticket Holders only beginning at 9:30 AM on the day of the event. At 2 PM the lot will open to the general public (based on availability). All spots are first-come, first-served. Season Ticket Holder Fee: $20 per car ; General Public Fee: $50 per car
- Nucleus Garage - SOLD OUT
- Public Parking Lot - First-come, first-served general public lot controlled by Riverside Parking. Fees typically range from $40-$50 for this lot on the event day.
- RV Lot - Available to RV’s only. Controlled by Riverside Parking.
