Wichita, KS—The Arkansas Travelers dropped their sixth consecutive game falling 2-1 to the Wichita Wind Surge on Tuesday night. The Travelers never led in the game, tying it at 1-1 in the third on a two out RBI hit from Bobby Honeyman but Wichita went right back in front in the bottom of the third inning. Alejandro Requena was tagged with his first loss of the season after surrendering two run over five innings. The Wind Surge bullpen had three relievers combine to work five scoreless to close out the game.

Moments That Mattered

* Wichita’s Mark Contreras beat out a potential double play ball in the bottom of the third inning allowing the go-ahead run to come home.

* The Travs built a two out threat in the seventh following singles by Joe Rizzo and Brian O’Keefe but Keegan McGovern struck out against reliever Alex Phillips to end the inning.
