Travs Slip Past RockHounds in Friday Thriller

Bullpen throws 3.1 scoreless to back strong start from Taylor Dollard

North Little Rock, AR—The Arkansas Travelers rode another strong pitching performance from Taylor Dollard and shutout work from the bullpen to a 3-2 win over the Midland RockHounds on Friday night at Dickey-Stephens Park. Dollard tossed 5.2 innings allowing two runs on six hits with two walks and four strikeouts.

North Little Rock, AR—The Arkansas Travelers rode another strong pitching performance from Taylor Dollard and shutout work from the bullpen to a 3-2 win over the Midland RockHounds on Friday night at Dickey-Stephens Park. Dollard tossed 5.2 innings allowing two runs on six hits with two walks and four strikeouts. He left with the lead and two runners on but Mickey McDonald singled home a run off of Rob Kaminsky tying the game and keeping Dollard from earning the victory. The bullpen slammed the door from there and the Travs retook the lead in the seventh inning on a sacrifice fly by Patrick Frick, taking advantage of a leadoff double in the inning by Matt Scheffler. Collin Kober worked a perfect ninth with two strikeouts for his first save.

Moments That Mattered

* Kaden Polcovich drove in the Travs first two run in the bottom of the fourth with a double giving them a one run lead.

* Pitching with a one run lead in the eighth, Braden Shipley made a pair of nice plays on balls to the third base side of the pitcher’s mound to record the first two outs of the inning.

* Dollard has not lost in his last 12 starts going 9-0 in that time.
