With the victory, the Ponies snapped a four-game skid.

In the eighth, Brandon McIlwain drew a one-out walk off Cameron Weston (1-1). Two batters later, after Bowie brought in RHP Nick Richmond, Palmer belted a go-ahead two-run homer to left to put Binghamton ahead 5-3. It was Palmer’s second home run of the season, as he finished the game 2-for-4 and reached base three times.

In the ninth, the Baysox had runners on first and second with one out. Trey McLoughlin struck out Connor Pavolony and Max Wagner swinging to seal the victory. It is McLoughlin’s third save of the season.

Binghamton got off to a fast start with a two-run first. Matt Rudick doubled to lead off the frame and Wyatt Young reached on an error. The next batter, Rhylan Thomas, singled to right to bring home Rudick and put the Ponies ahead 1-0. Later in the frame, with the bases loaded, a passed ball put Binghamton ahead 2-0.

After Bowie (21-17) tied the game at two in the top of the third, Kevin Parada responded in the bottom of the frame with a solo homer to left to put Binghamton back on top 3-2. It’s Parada’s fifth home run of the season. Bowie’s Dylan Beavers belted a solo homer to right in the fifth to tie the game at three.

Junior Santos (3-0) pitched an inning and two thirds of scoreless relief, earning the win. With the bases loaded and one out in the seventh, Santos struck out Max Wagner and Jud Fabian to get out of the inning without allowing a run.
