Series Preview: Reading Phillies
The Binghamton Mets (24-25) head to FirstEnergy Stadium for a three-game series against the Reading Phillies (28-21). The set against the Double-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies starts tonight at 7:05 PM.
B-Mets Previous Series (v New Hampshire, 2-2): The B-Mets hosted the New Hampshire Fisher Cats for Memorial Day Weekend and earned a four-game series split. The Fisher Cats took the first two games of the series by ripping 25 hits, including 13 for extra-bases. Mark Cohoon led the B-Mets on Sunday night, allowing just one run over seven innings in a 6-1 win. Collin McHugh was even better on Monday, fanning a season-high eight Fisher Cats en route to a 6-2 win.
Reading Previous Series (@ Harrisburg, 2-2): The R-Phils spent Memorial Day Weekend in Harrisburg and split a four-game series against the Senators. Reading starter Jonathan Pettibone scattered eight hits and allowed just one run over eight innings in a 3-1 victory in the series opener. Harrisburg took the two middle games with a pair of one-run wins. The R-Phils took the series finale on Monday by an 8-0 score behind a complete game shutout from David Buchanan
