Friday Night Fireworks Return This Weekend

Birmingham and Montgomery Renew I-65 Rivalry at Regions Field

BIRMINGHAM, AL - The Birmingham Barons return to downtown Birmingham for a five game series against the in-state rival Montgomery Biscuits, starting the set Wednesday and continuing through the weekend at Regions Field.

Wednesday, July 20, the Barons welcome in the Biscuits with AAA Wednesday at the ballpark and a 7:05 p.m. first pitch. It's Library Night at Regions Field, as well as Birmingham Zoo member night. Fans may show their Zoo Membership card at the Barons box office and receive free admission into Regions Field.

Thirsty Thursday returns July 21, with a 7:05 p.m. first pitch and a pregame concert by Zach and Cheyloe presented by Birmingham Mountain Radio. Two dollar draft and numerous other drink specials will be available thanks to Miller Lite, Woodbridge, and Buffalo Wild Wings.

Friday Night Fireworks presented by Hibbett Sports, Alabama Power, and Coca-Cola caps off the third game of the series, which will begin with a 7:05 p.m. first pitch July 22. Arrive early to the latest FIAT Friday at Regions Field, as the first 1,000 fans 12 and under will receive a free kids jersey courtesy of Coca-Cola.

The second Star Wars Night of the season July 23 ushers in another weekend of baseball in Birmingham, as the Barons battle the Biscuits with a 6:30 p.m. first pitch. The first 1,000 kids 12 and under through the gates at Regions Field will receive a Babe Ruff Light Saber backpack thanks to our friends at Verizon.

Artist Patrick Giles returns to Regions Field, as fans will have the opportunity to purchase original comic sketches and be drawn as Star Wars characters by Patrick, whose portfolio includes work with Topps, Upper Deck, and Conan O'Brien. To go along with the festivities, a collection of Star Wars characters from the 501st Legion will be on-hand for photographs.

A Salute to Armed Forces Sunday presented by NAPA rounds out the series at Regions Field July 24, as Birmingham and Montgomery face off with a 3:00 p.m. first pitch. Fans can get two dollars off any regularly priced ticket by showing valid military ID.
