Knights Fireworks Tradition Lives on at BB&T Ballpark
(Uptown Charlotte, NC) - The Charlotte Knights are set to light up the Uptown Charlotte sky on 15 occasions this season including a special "Friday Night Fireworks" series at each of the team's 14 Friday night games this year. Beginning with Opening Night on Friday, April 11, and ending with the team's final fireworks show of the season on Sunday, August 31, fans will have a chance to "ooh" and "ahh" at three games in April, two in May, three in June, three in July, and four in August. All of the exciting post-game fireworks shows at the team's new Uptown Charlotte home - BB&T Ballpark - are presented by BB&T, 107.9 The Link and News Talk 1110 WBT.
"Baseball and fireworks are both some of America's favorite past times and together they are a grand slam for our fans," said Knights General Manager of Baseball Operations Scotty Brown. "We shifted the tradition from Saturday to Friday nights to provide more shows for our fans."
Back by popular demand, the Knights will hold the 38th annual WBT Skyshow -- the largest fireworks show of the season -- on Friday, July 4th at BB&T Ballpark. Fans interested in purchasing a July 4th Fireworks partial plan, which consists of 18-games at BB&T Ballpark, are on sale now for just $288. The package features a ticket to the WBT Skyshow, as well as two other fireworks games (May 9 and August 8).
The Knights are once again partnering with East Coast Pyrotechnics Inc. on all 15 fireworks shows this season. Each of the 15 games will start with a 7:05 p.m. first pitch and the fireworks shows will follow after the final out of each game.

The Knights will open BB&T Ballpark on Friday, April 11 at 7:05 p.m. against the Norfolk Tides.
