El Paso Chihuahuas Game Summary
Albuquerque 11 Chihuahuas 6 - Tuesday
WP: Magill (1-1)
LP: Sampson (0-2)
The Albuquerque Isotopes hit four home runs on their way to an 11-6 victory over the El Paso Chihuahuas Tuesday night in Albuquerque. Both Miguel Olivo and Joc Pederson went deep twice, with Pederson driving in five runs and Olivo driving in four. Former San Diego Padre Mike Baxter went 4-for-4 with a walk against his former organization.
El Paso starter Keyvius Sampson, who entered with a 1.08 ERA through his first two starts, allowed nine runs, all earned, on seven hits in 3.1 innings of work. Former Isotope Tim Sexton pitched 2.2 innings of scoreless relief for the Chihuahuas. The Chihuahuas tried to get back into the game in the ninth inning, putting together a four-hit rally, but the resulting two runs were too little, too late.
Alex Castellanos went 2-for-4 with a double and his first Chihuahuas RBI. Brooks Conrad had his second consecutive multi-hit game, going 2-for-4 with two doubles.
