The El Paso Chihuahuas had a six-run first inning and never trailed after that in their 9-5 win over the Salt Lake Bees Friday night. El Paso has won three of its last five games overall and has an 8-6 record versus the Bees this year.

Michael Kelly allowed only one hit in five innings and picked up his first Triple-A win of the season. Diego Goris and Christian Villanueva both hit homers for El Paso, giving the Chihuahuas 10 home runs in their last six games. The Bees entered Friday with the best fielding percentage in the Pacific Coast League but committed four errors in the loss.
The Chihuahuas are now seven games behind first place Salt Lake with two head to head matchups remaining before the Pacific Coast League all-star break.
