El Paso reliever Hector Ambriz left two runners on base in the ninth inning of the Chihuahuas 3-2 victory over the Tacoma Rainiers Monday night at Southwest University Park. The Chihuahaus have now won five games in a row and eight of their last ten.

Trailing 2-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Jeff Francoeur's sacrifice fly got El Paso within one. The Chihuahuas pushed ahead of the Rainiers with a two-run fifth, scoring on Jonathan Galvez's RBI double and Tyler Greene's sacrifice fly. El Paso's bullpen held the lead from there, including Ambriz, who struck out Humberto Quintero and got Patrick Brady to fly out to end the game, leaving the tying run at third.

Odrisamer Despaigne picked up his first Triple-A win Monday, pitching six innings and allowing two earned runs. Two nights after piling up 20 hits, the Chihuahuas won Monday's game on only four hits. El Paso has an 8-2 record against Tacoma (Mariners' affiliate) this season. The Chihuahuas will try for their second series sweep of the season on Tuesday night.
