Former Chihuahuas on the Move

Here are some former El Paso Chihuahuas who have joined other organizations this offseason:

RHP Fabio Castillo has signed with the Dodgers. Castillo started six games for the 2016 PCL champion Chihuahuas before his contract was sold to a club in Korea.

RHP Anthony Carter has signed with the Rangers. Carter was an inaugural Chihuahua, pitching for El Paso in April 2014.

INF Brooks Conrad has signed with the Royals. Conrad was another inaugural Chihuahua and suited up for the Las Vegas 51s in 2015.

C Cody Decker has signed with the Brewers, where he will be a catcher. Decker remains the Chihuahuas' all-time home run leader with 48.

RHP Jose Dominguez has signed with the Giants. Dominguez split 2016 between El Paso and San Diego.

RHP Derek Eitel has signed with the Nationals. Eitel was crucial to the Chihuahuas 2016 postseason success. He didn't allow any runs in five playoff games.

C Tim Federowicz has signed with the Giants. Federowicz caught for the 2015 Chihuahuas and appeared in 17 games for the World Series champion Cubs last season.

OF Reymond Fuentes has signed with the Diamondbacks. Fuentes was the first batter in Chihuahuas history and was in the Royals organization from 2015-2016.

LHP Frank Garces has signed with the Marlins. Garces was both a starter and a reliever for El Paso from 2015-2016.

INF Hector Gomez has signed with the Phillies. Gomez hit .358 in 29 games for El Paso in 2015.

INF Benji Gonzalez has signed with the Twins. Gonzalez was a utilityman for the 2015 Chihuahuas and had a memorable walk-off hit that year.

INF Will Middlebrooks has signed with the Rangers. Middlebrooks hit two playoff homers for the 2015 Chihuahuas and also had a walk-off single earlier that year.

LHP Daniel Moskos has signed with the Cubs. Moskos was a key part of the Chihuahuas 2016 championship team, posting a 3.39 ERA in 61 innings last season.

INF Ramiro Pena has re-signed with the Giants. Pena played for the Chihuahuas in 2015 and divided 2016 between San Francisco and Sacramento. 

RHP Donn Roach has signed with a professional club in Korea. Roach was an inaugural Chihuahua in 2014 and later faced El Paso with Iowa and Tacoma.

OF Daniel Robertson has signed with the Indians. Robertson played briefly for the 2014 Chihuahuas and later played against El Paso with Salt Lake and Tacoma. 

RHP Keyvius Sampson has signed with the Diamondbacks. Sampson was part of the Chihuahuas' 2014 staff and pitched for the Reds in the major leagues last year.

LHP Caleb Thielbar has signed with the Marlins. Thielbar arrived to El Paso off waivers from the Twins late in 2015 and pitched for the Chihuahuas in that year's playoff series versus Fresno.

INF Jemile Weeks has signed with the Cubs. Weeks appeared in 10 games for the 2016 Chihuahuas and spent most of the season on San Diego's disabled list.
