A pair of two-out doubles started the scoring for the Marauders, leaving the top of the first with a 1-0 lead. The Threshers struck back in the third, beginning with a Bryson Ware leadoff double off Bradenton’s starter Michael Kennedy. He was recorded out at third on a fielder’s choice from Dakota Kotowski. He made it to second on a hit-and-run and scored on a Ricardo Rosario RBI single to tie the game at one.

The game went into extra innings after both teams were retired in order in the ninth inning. After a one-out single in the tenth, the extra runner scored for Bradenton to give the Marauders a 2-1 lead in the top of the tenth.

Ware began the inning on second base, and Trent Farquhar came on to pinch hit as the leadoff batter. On the fourth pitch of the at-bat, he laced a double off the right field wall to tie the game as Ware scored from second to tie the game. Jared Thomas laid down a sacrifice bunt to move Farquhar to third with one out in the inning.

After pinch-running for Rosario in the eighth, AJ Shaver came up for his first at-bat of the game and delivered the game-winning hit down the left-field line, easily scoring Farquhar from third and sealing the series with a 3-2 walkoff win.
