ABOUT THE HILLCATS: Lynchburg will make its second and final trip to Winston-Salem during this homestand. The Hillcats took three out of four against the Dash from May 15-18, winning the last three games of the series. Winston-Salem was on the wrong side of history in its previous series against Lynchburg, as right-hander Shao-Ching Chiang completed the first nine-inning no-hitter against the club since 1995. The 'Cats won the first-half Northern Division title, claiming the tiebreaker over the Salem Red Sox with an identical 40-29 record.
ABOUT THE PELICANS: Thanks to a 43-27 record in the first half, Myrtle Beach clinched the first-half Southern Division crown. The Pelicans are invading the downtown facility for the first time since May 9-11, when the two teams square off in a three-game set. Despite dropping two of three in that series, the Dash came out victorious in a rain-shortened matchup in the Grand Strand in mid-July. During that time, the Chicago White Sox traded big leaguer Jose Quintana to the Chicago Cubs for four prospects, including current Dash outfielder Eloy Jiménez, who is rated by Baseball America as the fifth-best prospect in the Minors.
BROADCAST INFORMATION: My 48 will televise the action during Sunday's contest with Lynchburg, while 600 AM-WSJS and 101.3 FM will carry Thursday's series finale against the Pelicans on the radio and online at wsjs.com. All eight contests will be available at wsdash.com/broadcast and the TuneIn Radio App (search "Dash baseball"), with every Dash home game on MiLB.tv. A full breakdown of the Dash's broadcast schedule is available here.
