Snyder Homers Again To Lead Bulls To 3rd Straight Win

Durham Downs Rochester, 2-1; Maintains Two Game South Lead

Rochester, NY --- Brandon Snyder hit his third home run in four games on Durham's road trip, breaking a 1-1 tie with a seventh inning shot lifting Durham past Rochester 2-1 at Frontier Field on Friday night.
Snyder, who homered Tuesday and Wednesday against Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, took out Red Wings starter Adalberto Mejía to leadoff the seventh inning for a 2-1 lead.  

An inning earlier, Kean Wong drove a triple to left-center to score Michael Russell with two outs to the the game 1-1. The Red Wings (28-28) had taken a 1-0 advantage when Willians Astudillo launched a long home run to left field against Bulls starter Yonny Chirinos.
Mike Franco (W, 1-0) worked 2 1/3 scoreless innings to earn the victory. Ian Gibaut (S, 5), who saved Durham's 5-4 win Thursday night on 11 pitches, used 19 in the ninth inning to close out the Red Wings. The game ended with centerfielder Andrew Velazquez chasing down a deep shot to left-center across the top of the warning track by Cameron Rupp with the tying run at first base.
Chirinos worked five innings, allowing four hits and one run.  
Durham second baseman Brandon Lowe was 2-4 in his Triple-A debut.
The Bulls (34-25) kept their two game lead in the South Division over Norfolk, who also won Friday night.
Forrest Snow (2-4, 4.35) starts Saturday night at 7:05 PM ET against Rochester's DJ Baxendale (0-2, 4.00).
