Trenton's Alvarez Added to Eastern Division Roster

TRENTON, NJ - The Trenton Thunder, in conjunction with the Eastern League of Professional Baseball, are pleased to announce that Trenton Thunder third baseman Mandy Alvarez has been added to the Eastern Division Roster for the 2018 Eastern League All-Star Classic, presented by Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey.

Alvarez replaces Thunder shortstop Abiatal Avelino who has been promoted to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

Alvarez is hitting .274 with 18 doubles, seven home runs, 40 runs scored and 37 RBIs in 67 games in his Double-A debut for the Thunder this season. Alvarez, a 17th round selection by the New York Yankees in 2016, played collegiately at Eastern Kentucky.
